In Narda Alvarados video performances everydayness turns into a theatrical act where each actor is a defined character with individualized eurhythmics. The artists set roles are interwoven in a sequence of ironic mise-en-scenes which are filled with visual and social humor. The theme of the performance Olive-green becomes a certain type of parody on a demonstration: ralliers block up the road, calmly eating olives, and they are confronted by policemen in olive-green uniforms. This paradoxical, almost surreal situation, the discrepancy of the characters behavior becomes not only a social criticism but it also forces the viewer to realize the sterotypicality of his perception.
