Gary Hill's project 'Remarks on color' is based on a play on words and concepts. The main acting figure here is the artist's small daughter who reads aloud sections from the book of the same name by the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein about the theory and nature of color. Not understanding the contents of the book, the little girl often makes mistakes, distorting the primary meaning. At the same time the specially thought out decorations the girl's clothes and hair and the color of the book cover which she holds become visual analogies of this difficult-to-comprehend text.
