Mixing in her projects images, seemingly taken from the pages of glossy magazines, with depictions of scenes of violence, Josephine Meckseper examines the interrelationship between the two main priorities of mankind in the 21st century- the desire for a beautiful life and the striving for power. Her method reproduces mass media strategies, mixing important information with advertisements.
