The main theme of this Italian artist’s projects is man’s tendency to reject truths that are inconvenient for him. Even though the artist does not deny any truths himself, he nevertheless casts doubt over everything that surrounds us. The domain of his interests consists mostly of the most ‘unsteady’ spheres- news in sport and politics. Turning to current events, Motti shows the ephemerality and inconsistency of these spheres. However, he subjects the artistic realm to doubt, a realm which he belongs to, declaring that non-conformism is most of the time only a cover. Motti’s declarations are also an artistic gesture, a means of attracting universal attention not only to contemporary art, but also to himself.
