In the film 'From my window' Joseph Robakowski shows the everyday life of the central square of the city Lodz in Poland which, for
a period of 20 years, he observed from the window of his flat. The project was completed in 1999 due to the rebuilding of the hotel
which closed the view on to the square for the artist. The series of videos is accompanied by commentaries by Robakowski himself
about the people appearing in the shots, their habits, the changes in their lives and the gradual changes of the city itself.
