project description
By now Visual Acoustics( an art movement which appeared about a decade ago and created an absolutely new language and an alternative iconography) has formed its own image and strengthened its status at the most prestigious art forums. The participants in this exhibition are top-rated contemporary composers whose artistic position is beyond the purely musical arena. The structure of the exposition is dominated by the projects: The Composers’ Time is Over (1999–2006) by Vladimir Martynov (Russia), Insight out (2006) by Vladimir Tarasov (Lithuania), The Seasons (2006) by Ivan Sokolov and Vadim Zakharov (Germany), Playing with Plants (2006) by Heinz-Erich Gödecke (Germany), and Mystic Choreography of Dance and From All Fishes in the Bosom of the Sea (2005) by Brian Irwin (UK).
The project’s special guest is Dmitry Alexandrovich Prigov, who does the performance The Composers’ Time is Over jointly with the Opus Posth ensemble led by Tatiana Grindenko.
