Non-alcoholic vodka is a drink that has the taste of vodka but contains no alcohol. With the creation of this installation, the Danish group ‘Superflex’ comments on the questions of the new socio-economic realities. According to the idea of the project’s authors, ‘Non-alcoholic vodka’ is an imitation of a local product which one can put into the international trading network. The necessity of fitting into a global context, of adapting to the demands of the international market and the toughness of competition between existing brands deprive a product of its most important characteristics- in other words, uniqueness is becoming the main victim of globalization.
