In Barthelemy Toguo’s works, each one filled with alarm, sexuality, life in the big city and the personal experiences of an immigrant become capital themes. His installations show the absurdity of drawing up borders in the epoch of global interchange. In his works Barthelemy Toguo uses various techniques: he paints in watercolors, builds sculpture installations, sets up performances, and turns to video and photography. The artist discusses questions of social inequality and the problems of small communities.
